Nausea won’t quit
Hi All, well, I finished treatment two months ago and have to say I feel the after effects are far worse than the treatment. I had delayed radiation burns to my whole neck which we treated with the creams and they went away. I had the mouth and tongue sores but dealt with those and managed to maintain my weight so the feeding tube was removed about two or three weeks ago. Throughout this journey, nausea has been by far the worst side effect and just recently it’s come back with a vengeance. I wake up nauseous, drink my shake, throw it up a while later whilst battling against throwing up. The nausea is relentless, no meds they’ve given me previously works and now I’m off food as every time I eat I know I’m going to throw up. Feeling nauseous just at the thought of food. I was doing so well and now I’ve lost three pounds and I’m only 122lbs to start with. I’ve asked to be referred to see a psychologist to discuss food aversions etc as well as depression from having cancer. If there’s anyone there that can help me, please help. I feel like I’m fading away. I don’t know what to eat to boost my strength and I don’t know what things won’t nauseate me. Any ideas will be welcomed. Thank you.

Probably need to consult your health team
My husband really struggled with food aversions and vomitting. He is now 13 weeks out, and eating small amounts. I would see your doctor to find out what is going on. Plus, you need the nutrition to build your strength back up.

Don't know what state you are
Don't know what state you are located in, but I was able to get ahold of some THC stick on patches from a neighboring state where they are legal. I used them constantly and I never threw up once during treatment. I can't say definitively that that's the reason, but that's the only thing I did different.
