Mixed News
Well I had my annual check today with doctors. I got the results of labs and of ultrasound and chest xray. US and chest xray normal no cause for concern however my labs showed slight hematurua in urine culture. I have had this intermittently, just a trace for a couple of years now but this time doc wants to have an abdominal CT scan followed by a cystoscopy. He says no cause to worry as it could be nothing but advised it would be best to take a look. So instead of hooting and hollering and celebrating I am now feeling down and worrying despite his reassurances. Cystoscopy is scheduled for the 23rd and CT needs to be done next week to allow him to have results ahead of the procedure.

So sorry for the mixed
So sorry for the mixed results but since the US came back normal chances are everything is fine and you may have a UTI. When they do my US they check the bladder too so I'm sure they did yours and it looked fine. Hope it all turns out well. Try not to stress and focus on the good US and x-ray results.

Thank you JerzyJerzyGrrl said:May your cytoscopy...
May your cytoscopy be uneventful. Or, as uneventful as a cytoscopy can be.
Back in the old days, they used to admit you to the hospital, knock you out for the procedure, and keep you overnight. Aren't you glad it's 2017? I sure am!
You have a wonderful atttiude. I read your member profile and you have a great sense of humor. Thanks for the good wishes. CT is now scheduled for tomorrow ahead of the cystoscopy on the 23rd. Fingers and everything crossed all will be well.

Thank you Ree, I've slept on it and things don't seem quite so bleak now. I have had intermittent traces of blood in urine over the last few years, ironically not before my RCC was discovered incidentally. Otherwise I am doing great, kidney function really good so hoping this is just a blip.

Upbeat
Thank you APny I needed that boost, came just at the right time. My bladder was included in the US and checked out fine. However doc wants to check out with CT and cystoscopy, abundance of caution I think which I have to say I appreciate. I do tend to mull over what the doctor said after the event and start reading things into what he said. Not a good idea second guessing! I am trying to focus on one thing at a time, CT tomorrow and procedure on 23rd which hopefully will put me back on track again. Vacay to England coming up next month!
