** BOOK ** Recommendation to fellow patients - Link updated
I'm recommending this book to fellow cancer patients... by Dr. David Palma MD PhD.
It is recommended by another patient advocate who has read a lot about navigating the cancer world, and we think this book is really helpful. I wish I read this after my first diagonosis.
"...It explains how treatment outcomes are different in some places, how doctor bias comes into play in treatment decisions, and the types of questions you need to be asking of different types of specialists along the way. Subtitleof the book is 'An Insider's Guide to Understanding and Receiving the Best Treatment'. He is donating proceeds from the book, so this is not just another doctor trying to sell books to make themselves famous or get on TV..."
It's available online as an e-book and audio book (Audible) as well.

I have seen a number of new members wondering what to do after diagonosis. This will be a good read instead of researching thru Dr. Google. Good luck to all of you!

Thank you! I am downloading this now!!! I couldn't sleep last night due to fever and spent a couple hours googling!
Your are welcome, hopefully you will understand more about this "BUG" from the book. Don't worry too much (easy to say... I know), from what I've read, you will do well!
One suggestion, please fill our the "About Me" page, so people can understand you more before replying you! Simpy click on the "create or update your member "About Me" page" link above!
Take care!
