AI and Dexascan frequency?

To those on AI ~ I am wondering how often you are scheduled for a Dexascan.  My insurance says every 2 years, but onco scheduled me one year.  I do have arthritis in my neck.  I told them at the center that I am on AI and that was why I was scheduled.  Do you think I should call my insurance to guarantee payment?  Thank you!

    Dexascan

My onc has been scheduling me one per year and ins pays. I don't take AI's anymore due to SE'S, and I am Stage 4. Maybe the Stage 4 is why insurance pays every year, or maybe insurances differ. I would for sure call ins to find out if they will pay!

My doc wants one year.  Yes, check with your insurance first or have them check.

    good luck with it,

    Hugs,

    Thank you

Thank you for responding.  I ask whenever tests are scheduled, but it has been my experience that the office says, "You are all set and you have no co-pay."  Then after the test insurance sends a bill.  I know all of these plans are so complex - maybe our leaders can come up with a healthcare document that is patient friendly for a change!  (I am not at all political, but someone needs to be our voice in the world.)

hoping you all have warmth and sunshine wherever you are!
