High vitamin b12 and high calcium levels and breast cancer
I have high levels on both b12 and calcium witch both corralate to many cancers including breast cancer. Just wondering if any one else had high levels before their diagnosis? These can cause so many types of cancer but doctors dont know much about either. Or how they relate. Can cause multiple cancers . Please check it out. Very interesting. I just had mamo and saw very light circle on screen before leaving. I will not be surprised if I have breast cancer. With my elevated levels. I also have many lumps on the inside of my thighs. All associated with levels. A doctor will never check for b12 levels. Both are bio markers for cancers. Almost all cancers. Thoughts? i saw a hemotologist who looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned high b12. Didn't have a clue . I have been in bed for almost 5 months. Just put all the pieces together. It doesn't look good. I will know in a few weeks unless they call with results before. Did any one have high calcium blood levels and doc said don't worry about it? All mine did.

High Calcium level?
Hi Fluffydog63,
Where did you get this info about high B-12 and high Calcium levels causing breast cancer?I've never heard this theory before and I've read a lot of books on cancer.
If anything, I think our blood is monitored to make sure we have a normal Calcium level. I don't think my Oncologist looks at my B-12 level. The last time that was checked was by my Primary doctor and it was fine.
These are biomarkers for cancer? News to me and I do have breast cancer. Please tell us your source for this information. Thanks. Kats2

Articles about elevated b12 and elevated calcium are on the internet. I know unreliable right? There are many articles from Mao clinic, Harvard Medical etc. There are some countries that now include b12 levels in their normal blood work ups. The calcium levels are interpreted by many articles and in many different ways. Normal ranges for older people can be different than younger people but we are all lumped into the same reference range. Hypercalcemia (high calcium) is actually something doctors know about And it is included on regular routine blood tests. The vitamin b12 elevation can be influenced by supplements And foods And fortified cereals. And maybe stored in the liver that could raise levels. My b12 was 1186. Some people who take suppliments go much higher ...very very high. I take no suppliments. But did do vitamin IV's For years. Now mine is getting lower in the 800's. I was eating tons of chicken and fortified cereal. My calcium was at the top of the reference range At 10.5 (reference range for my lab). It has now dropped to 9.9. I stopped eating tons of milk and yogurt. But of course some say that doesn't affect it. As long as you are within range on calcium doctors won't look further. And I haven't found any doctors that know about b12 and connection to disease. Not even a hematologist. Which is a doctor who knows about blood disease. Maybe a nutritionist but haven't been to one. Sorry to ramble on but it can be complex. It gave me a headache trying to figure it all out. I only checked my vitamin levels because I thought they would be low. i didn't think I was opening such a can of worms. if you mention b12 to you doctor they will look at you like you are crazy. Found out today I do not have breast cancer. But I do have other things going on that need to be looked into. Trying to rule out one thing at a time. it is very confusing and you willl get very few answers. low b12 can be bad too. just check it out but again it can give you a headache trying to understand it all. Suppliments can be tricky As well and how they play into the elevation of these two. I don't want to be anxious over blood test all the time. Be careful how far you look your bound to find something. my doctor didn't even know you have to fast before for a b12. I had to let him Know. I am trying to just eat a balanced diet and forget about it. I wish you the best. Sorry probably shouldn't have even brought it up.
