Ground Glass Opacities
Has anyone had a new finding of ground glass opacities in the lung on the post-treatment PET scan?

I had them on my first PET scan
before I even had treatment. Ground glass opacities are part of getting older. So far, I have not had one single Dr....from ENT to Pulmonology to Oncology give them any notice, other than to say they were there. Not something to worry about.

Thanks phrannie51! That's reassuring. They have referred us to a pulmonologist because they were not there just a few months ago. The initial review of the information leads him to think it is a reaction to the radiation. He is going to do a more in-depth review of the scans before saying for sure. I appreciate your repsonse.
