I have tinnitus pretty bad, usually I don't hear it as I have got used to it but now I am also getting swishing sounds in my head or ears, it happens when I move my head, does anyone else get this, this is 8 years out from treatment.

    Are you a musician?

Just wondering because most musicians I know, myself included, have some level of tinnitus and / or hearing loss.  (I am caregiver to my husband who is the real musician in the family so my hearing issues are not cancer / treatment related).  Sorry I don't have an answer for you since my husband just finished treatment, but he mentioned a hissing noise when he was on cisplatin.  It resolved when they switche's him to carboplatin.

Yeah i went thru chemo in 2010 and was given 4 cycles of Cisplatin and the ringing in the ears has not gone away. It's pretty frustrating at times, especially being in my mid-30's. It sucks that there really isn't any treatment for it.

Chicklette, yes I was a musician for most of my life, ws part of the British rock and roll scene in the 60's and 70's, and then over here in the States, spent a lot of time in front of big powerful amps, but the tinnitus came after the course of high dose cisplatin.
