Last drain coming out tomorrow!

Hello everyone. I am finally getting my last drain out tomorrow (post mastectomy and abdominal incisions for delayed DIEP flap reconstruction). It's been 6 1/2 weeks since surgery. I know most people have them in for only a couple of weeks, I'm just different. I will give me more freedom to move around. I'm happy!

It is those little steps
It is those little steps forward that mean so much. Thanks for your kind responses. I'll have to go through more drains and healing when I get my reconstructive surgery in a few months but I am not afraid of that, I know what to expect and I know I can get through it.

Last Drain Coming Out
Make sure you check with your doctor but now that your drains are out you may be ready for a post-op/leisure bra which typically has a front closure, high cotton content and is cozy and comfy. They come in all sizes and super cute patterns and colors. One of my favorite is the American Breast Care leisure bra style 110.
