For those of you who had your treatment away from your home base, what did you do about follow up once you were home and needed help with side effects?

    Elisec, my rad oncology team is around 135 miles from home. We have a local oncology team at our hospital for support. That said I have found the information on this support group more informative or enlightening than the local team.

    We contacted the team and

    We contacted the team and asked for direction.  Sometimes we were able to get what we needed here at home based on their direction and sometimes they were able to help us over the phone.  It was a combonation.  We did end up in the ER at home once too.
