So while the MRI radiologist thinks my 2.9 cm mass is a large cyst in my left kidney, my doctor wants me to have several doctors confirming this, which is why I like my doctor. I got the MRI film after the procedure and sent it to my mom's oncologist, a top kidney oncologist. There are cystic renal cell carcinomas too. I hope to get an appointment with her. I want to celebrate, but I am guarded. The waiting is so hard, actually exhausting. Everyone in the house is stressed. I have to see a urologist too. On other boards, I noted both my parents died of RCC. It is almost 17 years to the day when my mom was dignosed; she passed 7 years ago. Ultimately, I have to deal with this mass in my kidney.

2.9 cm
Nicole,
Lets hope the 2.9 cm bugger is just a cyst. Even if it turns out to be otherwise it is small enough that the chance of a total cure from surgery alone are as good as they get. While it may be a large cyst, if it turns out to be a tumor it is very small.

Thanks
It is really uncomfortable so I want to move on it. I am just in that waiting game.
