Clear PET, but new issue

My husband fought the battle and in mid April was told he is all clear. BUT yesterday his throat became sore which was alarming. He can now swallow only very soft items. No pills will go down. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'm not sure if he has an old fashioned sore throat or if things are changing due to radiation. It does not help that he has had to work 60 ish hours weekly for weeks on end. ;(
Thanks for any insight.

My NED PET was in early April
My NED PET was in early April, and I still get occasional swelling. Cancer free does not seem to mean end of struggle. I've concluded the search for the new normal will probably start next year, and this year will be just dealing with getting things stable. I finally managed to clear my tongue of Thrush crud to now see I have a nice bit of swelling that goes waaay down the back of my tongue. Plus I think my chemo is still causing things like super dry skin patches. But! this week for some reason I started sleeping straight thru the night. Nice.

sore throat?
Margi,
Sore throats do happen, it happened to me. Lucky for me I had one unopened bottle of magic mouth wash to alleviate the discomfort.
If it is a sore throat it will run its course and things should get better.
You are still in the fresh zone from treatments and this could be normal.
Keep your team informed of anything funny.
