Uterine Cancer stage 3B , clear cell treatments

in Uterine/Endometrial Cancer #1

My mom has Uterine Cancer 3B , clear cell but after surgery , doctor told my mom will have 3 rounds of chemo and 6 radiation.

I search on this forum and knowing that most of people ( even stage 1 ) have 4-6 or more rounds and I don't know why my mom only has 3 , is it good sign or bad sign ？

    Hmm I don't know. I'm 3C

    Hmm I don't know. I'm 3C clear cell and I had 5 1/2 weeks of radiation plus 3 internal radiatioN. I also had 6 rounds of carb/ taxol chemo. My frontline treatment ended in late June and so far I'm clear.

    peipei, I am not sure how comfortable your mother is in pushing for answers but she should ask why just 3 when there is lots of research out there (and there is on the 'sandwich' therapy) of 3 chemo/radiation/3 chemo.  (I don't know about a different order but I have had conversations with the oncologist in my gyn onc's office).

    I don't know if I would say it was good or bad but I think she needs to find out why they are going with that when there is a reason to be more aggressive with the treatment?  Do you think she would do that?
