    Just had one as well

Hi Jim! I just had one done as well, with similar verbiage on mine. From what I have googled, and I am no doctor, it means that the PET scan got the expected result in the neck, and the physiologic uptake is merely a fancy wording for "yep, your neck is reacting to the radioactive sugar like it should." The imporant part of the report deals with finding abnormalities. Is that correct, everyone? Again, I could be wrong, but that is what I've read thus far. Talk with your doctor about it, like I plan to do with mine, and we'll check back with each other. Best Wishes...Mary
