New Rash on Breast Is it IBC?

Last thursday I noticed a small red rash on my right breast that is not sore, itchy or inflamed. Just there and red. If I look very close at it it looks like a ton of tiny little capilaries just under the skin. I have a terrible health anxiety and having just learned of IBC just a week before I automatically spun out of control. I got right in the same day to my PCP and of course I got the "its Fungal, I'm 95% sure". I was not convinced and I asked for a biopsy since it is at the 10 oclock position on my breast and not in the common places for fungle and no itch. I was able to get in to see my dermatologist the next morning. He said that it looked very vascular in nature and that his concerns that this might be IBC is very very low below 5 %. He took a punch biopsy on Friday. The red area expanded from the size of a quarter to the size of a 50 cent piece the day after biopsy but has held stable in size and condition since then. Still no pain, no itching no breast swelling no skin thickening and no nipple changes and no heat also the skin on the rash is perfectly soft and smooth. Im waiting on the biopsy results but I have made myself physically sick with worry and I have convinced myself that it absolutly is IBC.

I called them today to ask if my biopsy results were back and the secritary said they were back but waiting for the doctor to sign off on them. Im not sure if thats just a routien thing or if that is bad news. Dear lord please give me some solid informatio because as far as google is concerned Im going to be dead in two years.

    Take a very deep breath! The doctors usually know cancer when they see it. That is my experience. Stop the googling because you are doing your body no good with anxiety like you are experiencing. Only doctors are allowed to give results of a test. All will be well!!!

    Biopsy Results

    I finally got the call from my dermatology office and the nurse said "the patholog of the biopsy is consistant with an anthropod bite". I cried and cried with relief. But now I find that Im worried that if the cancer was to early it got missed in this biopsy. Dont all bug bites itch? This doesnt itch at all. Isnt the punch biopsy from the center of the red rash the gold standard for this cancer? To many stories about several doctors doing several tests and still missing this. Should I be confident with the punch biopsy finding?

    Emr, like HapB said, take a deep breath.  If you keep like that, you will die from a heart attack.  Just kidding.  You are overworrying.  And no, not all bites itch.  Just think about bedbugs.  Some insects have an anesthetic enzyme that makes the bite pain-free so the host is unaware of its parasitic existence.
