Trivial - socks
I know this is a trivial subject - but maybe a small break from the life altering things that we face is OK.
Do you wear socks when you go for your internal exam? With all the other parts of me that are "in his face" - I hate to put my feet there too. But is it just as silly to have nothing on but socks? What am I trying to hide? Just wondering what you do.

Socks are winning
Looks like "socks on" is the way to go. Do you also fold up your underware and tuck them inbetween your clothes so they don't show?

I sent a random selection to my DIL who is deployed in the military to Turkey. Keeps her laughing!

How hysterical! I loved this topic and so happy I read it at work where is made me laugh!
Socks are optional for me. If it is summer and I have sandals? I'm barefoot and fancy free.
I do select nicer underwear for the dr visit days, but I hide them too.

For barefoot visits, do you touch up the pedicure?
I'm enjoying learning how much alike we all are -

Of course. Does that mark me as a woman of a certain age.

No, but there is a story...which there always is for the people who know me. YEARS ago I had gotten athlete's foot, probably from in hotels, and it spread to my toe nails. I tried the lamisil but that didn't work so the podiatrist pulled them. It was February 14 (yes, Valentine's Day) in Indiana and I had to walk across the parking lot barefoot to my car. I went back for a follow up and told the podiatrist, "They don't seem to be growing back very well" and she said, "They won't!" YIIKES! I didn't know that.
Sooooooooooooooo....I am missing 3 toenails and there is nothing really there. Now, if I could get a 30% discount......

Love Ostriches, But Not Sox
This is an interesting question. I'm born and raised in southern California. Flip flops are god's shoes and my feet never, EVER like to be enclosed. I never wear socks unless it's pouring rain and I'm wearing boots, which happens about twice a year here. That said, I have routine pedicures but now am worried about putting my feet in the stirrups -- for reasons other than just the indignity of the whole process, ha! Like No Time, I always wear nicer underwear to the doctor, but always bury it at the bottom of the pile on the chair. Such a fun topic!
