PEG tube to Mickey Button

Woke up this morning to a plugged PEG tube.  Was able to get right in to the Hospital's Feeding Tube Specialist who suggested I make the switch to the Mickey button.  She assured me there would be no difficult transition period and explained that many patients prefer them because of their small size.

I opted to swap out for the Mickey, which was very fast and painless (Ok, maybe a little pain when she yanked the old one out!)  I've used it once so far, and it seems to work fine, just need the added steps off attachment by the tube to the button.

Any one else make the switch to a Mickey, and if so, what are your thoughts and experiences?

i already appreciate the fact that there is no longer a big bump under my shirt!
