IUD update
I went to get another opinion on what to do about my IUD which is scarred in due to vaginal stenosis. I was so nervous at the appt my pulse was 114 and blood pressure was up too! I did like the gyn doctor, he examined me (which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, he used a speculum about a third the size of normal) and confirmed there is no sign of the IUD. We decided to try and coordinate with my anoscopy in November, he will "give it the old college try" (yes he actually said that) to dig around, dilate the cervical os and try to find the IUD without perforating my uterus. He said if it is too difficult he will just leave it in and then we hope it doesn't migrate and cause problems. All I can say is I'm glad I will be under general anesthetic. To be continued in November....
PS: Anyone with an IUD, make sure you get it removed before treatment!!!
