First Radiation

I had my first radiation treatment for the tumor between my spine and Vena Cava. 17 more to go. It was not nearly as hard as the radiation to my neck because I wasn't in a mask that was attached. I figured I would have the same type of lower body form that I had during pelvic radiation four years go. But no, this one resembled a very hard pillow and fits under my head with my arms up over my head. Everything went smoothly, except for the fact that at 8:45 in the morning they were already running 45 minutes late.
Hugs and prayers, Lou Ann

Good news
Lou Ann, thanks for the update and good news. I'm happy (because it sounds like they have the targeting on point, and you didn't have as hard a time of it) and amused too because, come on, the second appointment of the day is already so far behind? Sounds about par for our particular course...
