Immunotherapy squamous cell
Hey there
i have previsouly written a few months back, my mum is fighting anal cancer squamous cell carcinoma stage 4- tumor in rectal sphincter muscel and in near by lymph nodes, had the big surgery and hysterectomy, all nodes removed, then chemo and had a scan 6 months ago was clear it hadnt travelled at that point
yesterday her scan now shows its travelled( metasisized) to the lungs and attacked some of the lymph nodes in groin.
dr wants to trial the immunotherapy & chemo combined as they both can be taken at once, wondering if any one with the squamous cell cancer has been treated with the immunotherapy drug and had a successful result, im in Australia and having this type of cancer is considered a rare cancer, i really find the forum helpful and gives an understanding of this horrible disease. if anyone has had this similar situation, it would be amazing for a response.
just thoughts on the immunotherapy being successful with this type of cancer.

I'm sorry to hear about your mum's scan results and I'm afraid I have little or no information about immunotherapy. Hopefully, there are members on this board who can give your some insight. Please know that I send best wishes to your mom and you and I hope you'll keep us posted on how things go for her.
