    Welcome to the H&N forum, sorry that you are  here and I would like to tell you my story, but it would cut into my Super Bowl time.

    Needless to say, it is real, it was stage IVa, scc, bot, 1 lymph node, hpv+ (surgery, rads , Erbitux).  I had 35 rad treatments, I hate the mask, but came to find it interesting, I got dry mouth, tongue,  throat and mouth discomfort, I always drank water and had soda & salt mixture to rinse and spit.  Food was mostly terrible tasting and feeling after week 3 and I drank a lot of smoothies for 7 months.  I had 2 PEGS, one bad, one good. I got neck burn very bad and I drank 6 bottles of magic mouth wash, sipping, swishing and swallowing every drop.  Things do get much better and they did.
