Seven years on CSN
Still here trying to help the newbies get thru difficult times. A few milestones coming up. Fifteen years since my neph on August 1, 2017. Will be 75 years young next year. Trying to stay heathy and just got over a bad bout with pnemonia. Lost 30 pounds last year as well as another 30 back in 2014. Lucky enough to have met RCC survivors with more years than me. Currently retired in Royal Palm Beach, Florida in a 55 and over community. Daughter turns 50 in 4 days (she was born a few hours after the first Superbowl). I used to think 50 was old. Son will be 48 a few months later. Grandchildren will be 16,18,19,20 and 21 this year.

You're doing great...
for an old Fart. Welcome to the club of us wise and ancient beings, the real survivors who skew the average, and the all around neat people's group.
My daughter was 50 last May, son 46 in August, and grands are 20,17,12 and 10 and my stray, adopted shop cat will be 18. And not retired.
All my best on your anniversaries.

Congratulations Iceman! Time
Congratulations Iceman! Time really flies, right. What a wonderful life there by the beach! Look forward to see you help more newbies like me.
After having this disease, I found that my family became even more important (most important) to me and I hope I can see my grandchildren at that age too

Hear hear
I must live to be 100 so I can see Halley's comet again. It was such a disappointment last time around.
I hope my eyesight is still good.
Steve.

Thank you Iceman
A big thank you for all you do to help and reassure on this board. You were first to answer my plea when I was diagnosed in 2013. I was in pieces and thought it was the end of the line for me but just your words and your optimism gave me hope. I am now going on 4 years and still doing great.

Appreciate it!
You were among the first, if not THE first to respond to my posts as well. I sure appreciate this forum as well, and it's good to see the community that develops here. I'm looking forward to being able to say it's been 15 years since my neph, too.

But I dont think Halley's comet varies in the quality of its performance. I could be wrong, so its worth hanging around for

Halley's return is between my 98th and 99th birthdays. I had one great great great great (I think) grandfather who made to to 99 and some aunts and great aunts who lived into their 90s. So I reckon I'm in with a chance, though there are probably better reasons for a long life than hoping to see a wonderful light in the sky.
Steve.

First for me too
You were also first to answer my first post here, thanks.
