Husband threw up blood
My husband had cancer surgery, base of tongue, lymphnodes involved. The surgeon called yesterday and said it was metastatic scc and is referring us to an oncologist. His chest xray was clear. My question is.... one week post surgery he was trying to take his pain pill and it got stuck and he was throwing up blood. He cannot eat. He only drinks sips of liquid. Is this normal or should I take him to the dr. The blood was quite watery and it was bright red, so it wasnt old blood. Is it normal for it to be bleeding one week post op?

I had surgery in throat and lymph removal
He may need a few areas coterized? week after my surgery I coughed up a large blood clot and some bleeding and had to have my throat coterized (it was a liquid) and painless...and I'm surprised they are having him take pills? I drank liquid oxycodone. It surely helped...
