I don't know about the Nioxin

I don't know about the Nioxin with the higher number.  After chemo, I discovered that I had an old bottle of Nioxin in my linen closet.  I did use it on my scalp and I will say that my hair came in very thick, thicker than before chemo.  I stopped using it when I ran out.  My hair has gone back to how it was before.  Maybe it was the Nioxin, maybe not.  Might be worth a shot.

    Hair loss

Haven't read all the new stuff so someone may have already suggested this.before my chemo #1 when my hair fell out I had been using Nioxin 3 for thinning hair....The supplements Bioxin or Hair/Nails/Skin did nothing. I heard that Nioxin is available with a higher number for cancer patients after chemo. I have one more chemo in February and I am going to look into it. I take Synthroid for thyroid already and will be 68 in August. Let me know if anyone else tries or tried this..thanks

I used a different brand for

I used a different brand for hair loss that I found at Ulta, but I decided not to take biotin supplements because I already had problems with chin hairs and I didn't need to increase those, lol

    Nioxin

the hair dresser that cut my hair short might before I started chemo recommended Nioxin.  It did no good at all for me.  My hair started falling out on day 14 after my first chemo.  It has always come back though, usually soft and curly.  Hugs and prayers, Lou Ann
