STAGE 4 CHEMO NOT AN OPTION
We got my Dad's PET scan results the day before Thanksgiving. He went in for biopsy the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. The doctor had to intibate him due to the tumor and swelling. Ended up with a trach. He is not a candidate for chemo due to his liver function is too low. He has received 10 rounds of radiation. I don't want to give up. Dad is only 60. My heart is broken. Doctor's have no hope for survival. He is now home on hospice. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello Laraine
Hello Laraine,
You don't mention your location or the hospital you are using, so I am going to suggest to you that you should ABSOLUTELY be going to a top flight hospital for EC. EC is a BFD, it is not something to be taken care of at your local hospital like it's a sprained ankle or something like that. There is a huge difference in outcomes between convenient/local hospitals and cancer centers that have folks who specialize in EC. Please look into that.
Best Wishes,
Ed
