Here is my update.  Ever since I ended treatments I have been having off and on thoughts about my cancer comming back.  Some days I would feel calm and at peace other days I would worry at times.  I would think about changing doctors because none of my doctors would suggest a cat scan. I never changed and kepped praying to know what to do for myself.  Last week I told mom that i havent looked into other doctors because i really liked my radiation doctor and told her that even though he hasnt recomended  a cat scan for me  i told her that I think if i told him that i really wanted one he would do it for me.  He does really care. So today I had my six week check up with him and I asked him If i really felt I needed a cat scan would you get me one and he said yes and said lets just plan on getting one in June.  I am so glad.  He is so good to me.  He really listens to me and I am pleased

We all need doctors like that

i have been blessed with really great caring, doctors from the beginning.  The only, time a ran into a jerk, was during an ER visit.

    Janae you aren't alone

I have those feelings and thoughts also.  No ca-125 to watch and my Dr doesn't do scans unless symptoms pop up or she sees or feels something upon exam- she told me to put it in a box and go on with my life?!  It's easier some days than others but I continue to take my supplements, eat organic, vegan- drink filtered water, exercise as I can, IV therapy etc. etc. so at least I feel like I am participating in changing my internal terrain and still working BIG TIME on worry, stress and sleep ... it's a journey right?!  So glad you feel heard and comfortable- that is SO IMPORTANT <3<3  (((HUGS)))

    Glad to hear that you

Glad to hear that you advocated for yourself, Janae. It is so very important and I think we can all learn a lot from your efforts to get the best care for yourself.

After just going through a recurrence scare I will say that scans don't always give you comfort but I still do not regret having one every 6 months. It's a lot of radiation but to me, the alternative of not catching a recurrence early is even scarier.
