Checking in after 4 months.
Hi everyone. Had my 3 month check up last month. They didn't give me a pet scan which I would of preferred but I had an MRI. They said it looked " good" and to not be scared that the report said" can't rule out residual tumor" . Oh okay. They will scan me again in 6 months. So I'm like soooo am I NED ? They said until further notice. Ahh comforting. Hope everyone else is hanging on. Life sure feels temporary sometimes. I guess it always was.
Shirley.

No Worries
My 1st pet scan post radiation indicated possible residual tumor, My oncologist told me not to worry, but you know how that goes.
The following Pet Scan 6 months later showed the tumor to be gone. You shoul insist on a Pet scan in 3 momths since better indicator of head and neck cancer.

I was surprised...
I was really surprised the results of my petscan showed no evidence of cancer at all. My Doctors all told me to expect some residual....that it would clear up a few months after, by my next scan.
