Great news today!

in Head and Neck Cancer #1

My husband has his 4th set of scans on Monday (his 42nd birthday!) since finishing treatment for stage 1 tongue cancer back in January. We got the results today, and NED again!

His ENT wants to see him back in February, but we aren't going to scan again until next summer!  He said the risk of more radiation from more scans is higher than the risk of spacing the scans out at this point. He also gave my husband an A+ today and said he looks just great. We are so happy and thankful. 

All of this started 1 year ago. And now my husband got the best birthday present ever, and we have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

    That's great news!! Those milestones go by fast, don't they?

    I can't believe this time last year my hubby was still on the tube and struggling with yucky side effects. I remember talking with his doc about what he might be able to eat for Thanksgiving. Today he is doing great and eating anything he wants. So happy to hear your hubby is doing well, too!
