Need Prayers
I do not post much any more but I do check the boards, just to see what is going on.
I had a skin tag removed on Thursday that my GP believes was a Melanoma. Hoping it is not a metastasis to my original BC and that is a separate cancer DX. I know it sounds strange but a second cancer caught early is better than a stage 4 BC DX. Also praying that the biopsy comes back with clear margins.
Original DX and History: ER+, PR+ Her2+, Stage 2A July 2009, Lupectomy Nov 2009, Chemo=6 rounds, Rads=33, Herceptin for a year, Femara for 5 years
Hugs to all,
Donna

Tomorrow's Monday
And it has been far too long to be without results! But I see you have an appointment to have stitches removed and I bet they were just planning on telling you then. I simply don't understand why on earth patient anxiety doesn't play a role in notifying us as soon as results are in! I remember how anxious I was waiting for surgery while walking around with cancer, just knowing it was going to leap to every single part of my body! That did not happen, but doggone it when we faced with the unknown we need to know something asap! So I've told myself this for future: I will tell my doctor that I would like the results as soon as they become available and not wait for an appontment or letter in the mail. This will likely mean a phone call vs. appointment, but I'm really ok with that. Good luck. Please let us know after your appointment tomorrow.

Thanks for all the Hugs and Prayers
Pathology came back with no further evidence of Melanoma. I have to give both pathology reports to my onc and see if she wants any lymph nodes take, Hope not, hope I am done with it. I will have to have full body checks twice a year now but I can handle that.

Donna that is great news.
Was the initial tag a malenoma? Or does this mean it was benign?
Either way, I am thrilled with your results! I have been watching for it and so relieved for you. I agree with Suzanne, I don't think they have any idea what the anxiety can do to you when you are waiting forever for results. I know I was not born with the patience of a saint, and at this point
in my life, I am not going to develop it!
Good to see you are still doing well.
Hugs,
Carol
