Loss of a long time friend

I lost a good friend this past week to a head on traffic accident. Blindsided all of us. I spoke with him about a week ago.

He was supportive to me and my wife who is suffering from her cancer.

I have a voice message he left on my cell phone that I forgot all about. When I heard it tonight that did it-the tears flowed.

Talk about a lousy week. It's hard enough to be losing a wife to cancer but to lose a close friend as well is almost more than I could bear this week. Wow-when does the tide turn here?

Life stinks right now.

All I can say-

thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

    Sometimes life sucks

I'm very sorry for your loss. I know how hard this must be for you. My husband is dying of cancer and four days before he decided to stop treatment and go on hospice my brother died of a drug overdose. The pain was unbearable for a while. Eventually it gets easier and you go back to focusing mainly on your spouse. It's been 4 months since my brother passed away. Or you're just so exhausted and overwhelmed that you don't have time to think about anything else. It's probably the latter.

    Season of Job

My friends say I am in my season of Job.  The hits just seem to keep on coming.

    Life is just hard sometimes.

Wish I had the perfect words to comfort you

But there are no perfect words. My thoughts go out to all who are struggling right now.
