Breast Reconstruction

I had a double mastectomy with immediate recontruction with silicone implants put in. My surgery was just over 1 year ago and I have not had any long lasting pain. I was pretty much off of all pain meds by the end of the first week and never had any trouble with healing post surgery. I would do it this way again.

Hi, I had reconstruction for a unilateral mastectomy in 2009. Latissimus flap on my left side with a saline implant under the muscle. I healed beautifully, followed Dr.s orders to rest, and go easy. 6 weeks later I was out Christmas shopping with girlfriends. I feel wonderful to this day, and have no pain. I was very happy to have done reconstruction~

What kind of reconstructionMariangel43 said:pain after reconstruction
I am nearing the date of reconstruction. What I fear most is the pain. I still have pain under my breast (hypersensitivity mostly) and I dread the moment of moving around in my house after the surgery. Any recommendation?
What kind of reconstruction are you doing? Do you have the expanders in right now?
