MRI Results
Hi Everyone,
I have received my MRI results for my brain tumors, the cyber knife radiation did help reduce the size (3 tumors in brain) but did not make them go away. I will see the Drs. on Monday to discuss other options and also get my results for my CT scan of the chest, stomach and pelvic area. I will let you know what is said.
I am feeling pretty good, but have decided since I have also met my 5 year survivor time and as Fox said "things seem to be changing" some for me also. I was use to having only 1 tumor at a time and now it seems they are coming 2, 3 at a time and more frequently. So I am leaving work and trying to go out on disabilty! I have a 20 month old granddaughter and a 1 month old grandson and I would rather stay home and see them when ever I wanted/or while I can instead of going to work everyday! It is nice to still be able to get excited about things, and spending more time with my grand babies is very exciting to me!
Prayers for good health for us all!
Brenda

Oh Grandma Brenda, go for it!
Oh Grandma Brenda, go for it! Nothing like watching little ones grow and love, to melt your heart!
Sorry for the continued challenges..geez louize. I don't know how you do it!
Now if you choose to seek disability, unless your doctors document that they feel it is best not to work, SSDI can be picky. If you are working now, they take that into consideration. BUT even if they deny you 1st try (very typical) keep trying, but now with an attorney. Most attorneys do not take cases until you have been denied. I would think you have a very good chance right now!
Just letting you know I am here for you, and will back your decision all the way!
Hugs, Jan

I think that's a wonderful
I think that's a wonderful decision to spend more time with grandchildren instead of work. I'm sure you put in enough years at work and now it's your turn to spend time doing things you love. Hope the DR. has encouraging options for you when you see him/her. Also hoping for good CT scan results. All the best xo

After my husband was
After my husband was diagnosed, I started to understand what's really important in llife. Work, especially the one you love, is very important, but family goes first anyway. It is a great decision, Brenda, and it will definitely make you happy!
Let us know how the scans go, good luck with them!

Social security "disability" status should be automatic
Brenda;
You've been through plenty. My prayers are with you.
You mentioned applying for disability. I assume that you're stage 4, as your cancer has spread to distant locations. From my experience, your situation (stage 4) will automatically qualify you for disability benefits. When I applied, I could not believe how cooperative the social security people were. Some consolation to having stage 4 RCC, right?
