Pregnant a few months after my husband's last chemo

My husband had non-hodgkin lymphoma and his last chemo (he had 6 chemo cycles) was at the end of May 2016. I just found out I'm pregnant today. He doesn't know yet. I'm worried if the baby will be healthy. Should I keep it?

    Anhlucci,

Unlike women, who are born with their lifelong complement of eggs, men continuously manufacture new sperm. This means that sperm affected by chemo clear a man's system relatively fast.

My guess would be that things are probably safe, but his oncologist should be willing to discuss this issue with him, I would expect at no charge. Plus, some chemo drugs have limited or no effect on fertility or health -- another question for the doctor.
