New member with obturator
I'm a new member who has an obturator. See my CSN space for more info. I'd like to talk to others who have an obturator to ask how you manage it and what you can eat with it. I'm almost 2 years post-treatment and still dealing with mouth pain, taking pain meds. I haven't been able to move past eating smoothies, blended and soft foods. I'm working with a swallowing therapist for tongue exercises and to strengthen my swallow, altho' I can swallow OK. So far, it's just too messy and painful, takes a long time to eat anything other than soft and blended food.
