Lesbian Breast Cancer Spouse Looking for Support
My partner was just diagnosed with both LCIS and ILC. Because the LCIS is so tiny and pervasive, the doctor is recommending a double masectomy, because she doesn't feel she can safely monitor my partner's breasts. The good news is that they detected it very early and she is only in Stage 1. However, I go back and forth between being normal/productive and being horrifically depressed. I just needed to reach out to other cancer spouses for support.

Not alone
Hello Ceilingtile,
I am a patient advocate and I am sorry you are struggling. I hope you and your partner got a second opinion prior to making such a drastic decision. It is life changing for sure. I too was diagnosed with BC. Make sure you have "your village" supporting you. Kindly, RC
