Just checking in

i had treatment #30 something (I have lost count) today, third of the Keytruda immunotherapy. Still no side effects. I have a cough and some congestion, but my Onc is pretty sure it is allergies. Last time my CA 125 jumped from 156 to 865. This time it fell to 460. We are not paying much attention to it because the cancers that have been approved for this do not have tumor markers. Since I have been feeling good and my Onc says I look much better than I did a few weeks ago, he is very hopeful that this treatment may be working. I will get a CT scan after my next treatment. That may not show anything definitive either, because of the way immunotherapy works. All I know for sure is that I feel better and have more energy than I have had for a very long time.
Hugs and prayers to all of you, Lou Ann

Lou ann, we cancer patience
Lou ann, we cancer patience really learn to find the good in all this dont we. Im so glad you can be glad that you feel good despite what you dont know. I just went and talked to my bosses boss this morning and am putting my job on hold for maybe up to 3 months. Yesterday night after talking to my dad, i really realized how 2 or three months of no job isnt that important and that my kids and my health is far more important. Thanks for reminding us that there is good in life.

Billie, what were your markerBC Brady said:Keytruda!
I am waiting for marker results THIS WEEK! The genetic doc said without the right markers Keytruda would have no effect at all. Biopsies were done a week ago Friday. Thank you for the update - more energy and no side effects - yes please!
Billie
Billie, what were your marker results???

Yoohoo!
So glad to hear you're feeling better! I've been off the board for a while and was so glad to see your good news. I've been reading so much lately about immunotherapy and the great success they are having with different types of cancer. Arousing our bodies natural defenses makes so much sense! The fact that it has few side effects must be such a relief after what you have gone through this past year. My thoughts and hopes are with you LouAnn! Lots of love!
