Gout... SOAB!

So... one of the side effects I've had since treatment is gout. I had it happen several times in my feet (big toe) and let me tell ya... it hurts like a MOFO! I'm coming up on 3.5 years post treatment and all in all I'm doing great! I see my Radiation Oncologist this coming Tuesday for a scope, poke and prod and I expect all to be well.
So... today, I wake up and my ankle hurts. The ankle bone is red and I'm having some pain. By tonight, the ankle is swollen, red and the pain is an easy 7-8 out of ten! Holy (@^^#... so it's tramadol and ice packs for the next few days.
Fun stuff eh?.. just needed to vent. All in all, I'm very blessed. Yeah, I have some major side effects (nueropathy, incredibly painful neck spasms etc.) but I'm alive and well considering
Hope all are doing Ok... keep up the good fight whether you're still in the battle or in recovery. Life does get back to the "new normal" eventually.
Speaking of which.... I'm a musician. I played professionally for many years. When I got cancer, I didn't know if I'd ever be able to sing again. My team knew of my occupation and took that into consideration. It took a while but I'm back to performing on a regular basis. I want to share what I do with you all. I did a live Facebook broadcast tonight and it was a blast. Hope you enjoy and it inspires you to keep up the good fight. We're all part of an exclusive club of warriors and survivors.

3.5 years, wow!
Hi “T”,
I was going to ask you if you could sing about your woes, but you beat me to it.
I am very glad you kicked Jack’s a_ _ to the curb and kept moving with the “new normal”.
Sorry to hear about the Gout, this getting older is just one surprise after another.
Take care my friend.
