Hi everyone,

I'm 5 weeks out as of tomorrow and I am finally out and about doing more things. Still using the auto carts in the stores when I start feeling tired. I do have a question though. I feel like I forget things easily. Someone may tell me something in the morning and by later in the day I totally forgot what they told me. It's happened more than once and it feels like daily lately. Has anyone else experienced this?

Kerry

    Maybe

    Kerry,

Maybe a bit of exhaustion. Check with the doctor in any event.

It's crazy what stress can do to you.  This is definitely a lot of stress to deal with.  Def check with dr. I felt the same way.  It gets better ;)

    Yep

I agree with the previous comments, I felt a bit doo-lalli after surgery. I guess I still do. If it worries you make a note to speak to a doctor about it. There's no point in fretting.

    What?

I will go on record with the others.  However I also have to ask, are you dehydrated?  One of the nice things about this hobby is being told to drink.

Good luck.  And let us know.

    I remember

a thread like this several years ago. The discussion also talked about post nephrectomy depression. I think once the impact of diagnosis and surgery are behind you, your thoughts change to the present and future. The shock has settled and you begin to wonder what the hell just happened. Your life is changed forever. There is seldom a return to how things used to be. Brain fog with good reason. With time life goes on and you live the new normal.
