Vaginal bleeding post external pelvic radiation
I just finished 35, hour long pelvic external radiation treatments. I have diarrhea constantly and now I'm having vaginal bleeding. It's worse after a bowel movement. I had a radical hysterectomy in 2013. I'm hoping it may be coming from lesions from burns because as bad as my buttocks were burned my insides are probly fried!

Janie, So sorry you are going
Janie, So sorry you are going through this. I do not have any experience with external radiation to offer any ideas or opinions. But, I wanted to welcome you to the board. I would suggest you call your radiologist tomorrow - asap. Just to make sure this is normal.
Take care and I hope it is nothing to be worried about.
Love and Hugs,
Cindi

janie53, I had both external
janie53, I had both external and internal radiation. I was told that diarrhea as a potential side effect from EXTERNAL radiation and it was only 25 and were only a few minutes. Until then, to help with the diarrhea, the B.R.A.T. diet, there is a lot of information on this on the web, but here is one link:

I don't have any insight in to the bleeding - and as Cindi recommended call the office.

Unsure
I just finished 25x external and brachy radiation. I have not been warned about bleeding but I have been told if any "symptoms" occur to call in. They did caution about rectal bleeding. No telling you know you have been radiated and your body doesn't like it at all. I would actually call the oncologist on call today, but then I am a big proponent of proactive "defense". The worse than can do is tell you to call back tomorrow and then you can breath easy that it isn't an emergency. This too shall pass and I just know all will be fine. Just a hassle to deal with them.

Oh, dear I'm so sorry to hear
Oh, dear I'm so sorry to hear this. My external radiations we only about 10 min long each, so I didn't have the same reactions as you did, but I do have constipation as a lasting effect. I hope you have called about this. I'm wishing you the best. I hope you get help.
