Carbpoplatin and Taxane

I have been told by my Cancer Dr. My hair will come out.But not as fast as with Taxatere.I have had 3 chemo treatments.Has anyone taken these drugs.How long did you have hair into treatments?Thank you.God bless.

    Treatment with Carboplatin and Taxane drugs

    You truly are a fighter. I can't say enough about your spirit. 

    I did not take carboplatin  (also known as Paraplatin) so I can't offer advice there. I found some great information about it on www.chemocare.com/chemotherapy/drug-info/carboplatin.aspx

    There are 2 drugs in the Taxane family - Taxol and Taxotere. I'm not sure which one you are taking. I had 12 rounds of Taxotere. I started losing my hair on Day 14 of the chemo cycle. When it started looking patchy and ridiculous I had my husband shave off the rest of it. I have been told that Day 14 is pretty typical. My hair has grown back, just a bit differently. I know there are a few ladies on this Board (Double Whammy/Suzanne) whose hair did not come back.
