Tenderness after surgery and radiation

I had my unilateral mastectomy December 3, 2015 and finished radiation in early March. I still have tenderness at the top of the surgical site--not terrible, but if I press on it, it hurts. My surgeon said this is most likely because of radiation. I haven't had the chance to ask my RO, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? Or were you completely healed by the time your radiation burns healed?

after radiation
I have a co-worker who had a lumpectumy and radiation 4 years ago. The skin on her breast and her underarm is only just recently returning to its normal color and in the last two months she has found hard spots on her breast which her MO says she shouldn't be concerned about. So she's still dealing with radiation after-effects, 4 years later.
