I'm not sure if this posted.  I had my PEG tube inserted Friday and have been in the hospital since.  I can keep anything down and still in some pain.  They are taking me for a scan in a little while.   Any suggestions.

Thanks,  Joanne

    peg tube

I had a hard time with my peg tube when i got it also . Not as hard as you but hard . I was doubtfull that I would need it but I am greatfull that I have it my throat is so sore and taste buds are gone so peg tube is the only way I eat . Nothing goes in my mouth but water ice cold water I have 8 more radiation treatment to go .  I was where you are a month and a half ago and do not envy what you have to face so whatever you believe in whatever gives you strenth you need to use it because its a tough road but the payoff is life

    Thanks

Metfanpt - thank you!  I'm just waiting for the results of the scan. So hopefully it is just a matter of my body getting used to it!!

    I also couldn't keep anything

I also couldn't keep anything down and was hospitalized. They switched my g-tube to a j-tube so nothing would go in my stomach. That helped tremendously no more vomiting.
