Surviving 16 years post oral diagnosis

Hello to those who are interested. 

yes! It's been that long since my first diagnosis In 2000.  The cancer came back 3 times. The jawbone replacement took place in 2013 but since then all is well. I'm very close to living my normal life except for the feeding tube ( 5 years now) but it has been a blessing in disguise . I really mean that because it has forced me into a diet that I would not have had the will power to pursue. Ha ha! God knew that! 

I firmly believe that that diet stopped the cancer from coming back a 4 th time because that was the only thing that changed in my life. It amazes me that the medical profession still has not gotten on board with this! Oh I forgot, if they did there would be a chance of a cure and they would be out of a job. In any case, it IS possible to beat this thing! And that's the good news!

I am happy for you, but a bit

I am happy for you, but a bit confused about the feeding tube and diet. What diet are you on?

LiseA.....I'm sure it's a liquid diet....

....chances are that after 5 years of having a tube, Sweetgammy has figured out some things to sneak down her tube besides formula.

I can't imagine formula all this time, so good for you if you've gotten some nice stuff down as well.

You sound alot like me, my NPC came back 3 time the last time was in 2006 then around 2012 I lost the ability to swallow and been living on my PEG tube, wow that’s been 4 years now time does seem to fly. You are very correct I believe what we eat has a lot to do with our health.
