Hip pain
Hello everyone,
i have been on arimidex since November. I hadn't had much for bone pain or hip/back pain since my hysterectomy and being put on arimidex. I had more pain on tomoxifen. Anyway the last month I have been having bad bone pain in the tops of my feet and in my hips. Hurts to walk. Could it be the arimidex even though I started it in November and hadn't had much for side effects... I worry about bone mets. Can anyone relate. ?? Thank you for your advice.. hugs to all of you !!
Mary

Hi I've had Breast Cancer with Bone Mets diagnosed April, 2013.
I have never been on arimidex or tamoxifin(?sp). I am on Letrozole and Xgeva. 4 1/2 years ago I had Radiation to my breast tumor and the numerous spots on my spine, hips, tail bone and femurs.
My hips and legs hurt all the time. My Dr prescribed a CT scan because it's been 6 mos. My hips hurt a lot last time I had scans. No cancer seen. Hole in hip bone from tumor damage. Bone Dr gave me Melixicam for arthritis. I also take hydrocodone but still in pain.
Sorry I am not really answering your question but I certainly understand your pain.
Hope you find a solution.
Sincerely,
Ann

Time for a bone scan
Hi Mary,
I was on both Arimidex and Tamoxifen and had no pain at all. A year and a half after my lumpectomy and radiation, bone mets appeared in my ribs, spine, pelvis, and now hips. No scans were ever done on me prior to my lumpectomy, so I believe that my BC had already spread to my bones and no one ever suspected it. Tests afterwards showed the bone involvement.
I have had pain on the top of my right foot for a very long time. Could be arthritis because I have that too. My Onc doesnt seem concerned about it.
You're best bet is to have a bone scan. That'll show what's what.
I'm noticing that you wrote 4 months ago. How are you doing now? Kats2
