is there any help for treatment if your insurance doesn't pay for it?

    See if the hospital has a

    See if the hospital has a Cancer Navigator (or maybe some other title).  That person should have a wealth of information and be able to help you out.  There is help.  My nephew has lymphoma and was uninsured.  There were programs available to help him with the expense.

    I think most hospitals have some funding, though they do not make it known. Have you looked for an advocate at Cancer ctr or anything?

    Yes, there is help available.  Your hospital (or better yet Cancer Center) social worker should be able to help you.  I have a good friend who was uninsured and was directed to a Covered California plan.  She paid nothing for it and received all of her treatment and this is continuing.  The problem for her was in finding a provider that would accept it.  University affiliated medical centers may be your best bet  as some of the smaller organizations can't absorb the additional cost of providing care.  Be sure to ask to be directed not only to an insurance provider, but a medical provider who will accept that insurance.
