One Year Anniversary
Hi there,
I wanted to reach out and let you know today is the one year anniversary that I was told that I had cancer. Due to this site and support from you all, I was able to have hope when hearing the dreaded words.
Footstomper was the first to reply to me and let me know I was going to be ok, and then followed by Iceman who told me that they would take out my little bugger and it would be the last I most likely would have to deal with it.
One year later, I am still NED and know I will be for a long time. . I have learned that my little bugger 1.2 cm, stats say recurrence is very very low. I have made lifestyle changes that have only improved my health and I feel fantastic. My faith is stronger and life is really good.
my mental journey was tougher than my physical journey. It has lessened some with support from you all and family.
Again, thank you for those that respond to others and if you had not responded to me I would have been lost.
Big hug

Wonderful news,
Wonderful news, congratulations
The happiness and positiveness is within all and every word of your post, I'm very happy for you, you've done a great job, turning something bad to something good and energizing isn't easy and you've done it.
Sure, the mental journey is much more difficult than physical journey for many including me but reading some positive posts like yours makes it much easier.
Many manymmore years with NED news to come

Uncle NED will visit you regularly, many-many times. This is the guest nobody gets tired of, however :-)
Mental journey... It is the biggest challenge for everyone, including caregivers. But, as experience of old-timers here show, it gets better with time. One year is just a beginning.
