Opdivo and Low Sodium?

in Kidney Cancer #1

Has anyone experienced low sodium levels with Opdivo? My Mom has had 7 doses of Opdivo and was hospitalized yesterday with low sodium. She is improving with IV's. Has anyone else experienced something similiar? At this point we do not know if it's related to Opdivo or something else entirely.

    I have been receiving Opdivo for nearly 12 mths and Sodium levels have never been an issue.

    However, the possible side effects of this drug do state possible abnormalblood levels of numerous items including Sodium so could well be related.

    it is actually quite dangerous.  have her take salt pills, you buy at sports stores or pharmacies, until number returns to normal range

    probably is caused by opdivo

    Thanks for the replies. They've determind adrenal gland was the  underlying issue and likely related to Opdivo. Will be receiving steroids.

    I have not experienced that but I do have anemia now along with a few other side effects.
