Protandim supplement
Hi everyone. I have had several people I know try to make me take a new natural supplement called protandim. It's supposed to rebuild cells. Has anyone had any experience with this and have taken it.. I'm always skeptical about these kind of things... Any advice appreciated. Thank you. Love to all.

It lists the components:
- Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) extract (225 mg)
- Bacopa (Bacopa monniera) extract (150 mg)
- Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) root (150 mg)
- Green tea (Camellia sinensis) extract (75 mg)
- Turmeric (Curcuma Ionga) extract (75 mg)
And it lists the human clinical studies, in vitro and animal studies.

I always talk over any new
I always talk over any new supplements I am thinking of taking with my doctor. And if possible, get blood levels checked. I found out years ago when I had been taking Vitamin E, that my levels were to high and was contradictory to some health issues I have.

Hi Mary, nice to see you on
Hi Mary, nice to see you on the site again. I would be very hesistant to take anything that promotes "cell growth" as it could make cancer cells grow too, although the claim sounds bogus anyway. I take absolutely no supplements at my onc's request, and I am so spooked by them. I add spices like turmeric to my food because I won't even take that in pill form. The only pill I'm gonna take is tamoxifen!! Other than that, lots of nice fruits and veggies all day long and meat rarely.

I'm also happy to see you here again. I hope you're doing well. I never believe what the supplements say they will do for us. You could run it by your DR though. Linda
