One breast considerably smaller than the other after finishing treatment.
Hi all. Happy to finsh my treatment but after radiation and lumpectomy, my breast is almost 2 cups smaller. Just wondering what my options are. Don't want to wear inserts as I swim daily and also can't face more surgery on healthy breast. Has anyone on here had liposuction on the larger breast and has it worked. I will be seeing my surgeon in May but would love to hear from others who have had this problem. Confused!

Had one mastectomy one month
Had one mastectomy one month and another the next. When all done one was MUCH bigger than the other which I could tell the plastic surgeon was surprised at on his reaction. I didn't want to but did infact go back in for one more short surgery and I suggested where to cut and he totally agreed, I dont think he gets it wrong normally just bad luck. In and out procedure no problems.
You our never get even but I am very happy now. No he would know 'they aren't mine'.

Thanks Roz. Was it an overnight procedure and also how long recovery time? I know it will be worth it in the long term but the thought of more sugery fills me with dread to be honest.

lopsided
I have the same problem. A few years back I went to a plastic surgeon who was recommended by my breast surgeon. The plastic surgeon told me my only option was a breast reduction and lift on the larger breast. I scheduled the procedure, but then changed my mind. Like you, I like to stay active and a reduction and lift are major surgery and I just didn't want to take the time to recooperate. It still bugs me, but I try to wear loose fitting blouses and I gave up wearing the tight Under Armour tops to the gym. I'm alot older and fatter and I doubt anyone is looking at my breasts anyway (LOL). Let us know what your surgeon says, I'd be interested if you can have liposuction as to me it seems so much less invasive. Love Surf

I am very small breasted and
I am very small breasted and had TWO lumpetcomies on the same side-2 different surgeons so 2 different cuts. I am lop sided-by 2nd surgeron recommeneded me taking fat from other area and inject it to cancer side to even them up. I no way want another procedure done, so I opted to by good (first time ever) bra from Victoria's secret and content with that.

Will do. I will see him on the 13th of May so hopefully he will go over the options available to me. To be honest, I would be surprised if liposuction is suitable as I have dense breast tissue. Happy to be well so not going to dwell on the size difference too much.
