While I still have a small
While I still have a small bulge (I call it a sausage) around the incision site it is nowhere near as large as a football. Mine did start out larger and over the past two years since surgery decreased quite a bit. So it's possible that in another year yours will reduce a lot more. But for peace of mind I would have someone else look at it. Especially since you still feel tenderness in that area.

Good Morning Max,
Altho I cannot relate, I can tell you my doctor was concerned post-op of any bulges and mentioned something about the possibility of hernias. If it is a hernia, that's nothing you want to mess around with, could cause blockages in the bowel, etc.
Definitely get it looked at again, that's quite sizeable.
Best wishes,
Donna~
