It was time for me to join
Hello let me start out by interducing myself.
I'm a 40 years old with a wife and 3 kids living in Minnesota. In the middle of May 2015 I was dx with SCC HPV+ of the tonsil with 3 positive lymph nodes. June treament started with 35 radiation tx with 3 Cisplatin. My last treament was AUG 3 2015. Then I had my first pet scan in Nov that came back NED. Back to work fulltime in December. My PEG tube and port was taken out in Dec.2015
During my treatment i relyed on this forum for help, support, ideas as well as reading about people that have gone through this. And I thank everyone for that. Plus I been meaning to become a member for a long time but i just never got around to it until today. Its been a long road to get here today but everyday gets better.

Hi Ryan!
You and my hubby have a lot in common - same diagnosis, same treatment - chemoradiation (my hubs had cisplatin once a week for 7 weeks), finished in Sept., PEG removed in Dec. 2015, NED - yay! Like you, I didn't join until after he was done with treatment, but I read it quite a bit during the dark days. I continue to come here for support from all these wonderful folks. It seems like there are a lot more people here now, but I'm sure a lot of them come and go.
It sounds like you are doing well. Congrats on finishing, NED, and getting back to work. Those are all huge accomplishments!
As Jimmy Fallon says, "Welcome, welcome, welcome...!"

Welcome!
I too hung in the background for months reading for information and finally joined. Diagnosed 1/12/15 and finished rads March 3, 2015. (Just passed 1 year post treatment and scans next month)
Lots of great people and a wealth of information here.
Best of luck and prayers to you as you get back to feeling yourself again.
Peace,
Tom
